seems i was a little premature in celebrating my friend's recovery from her op. they removed a growth which turns out to have been cancerous - another long round of treatment is required, which is how she's spent 12 of the last 18 months. she thought that was all over and was really enjoying her hair growing back enough to do things with it. her man was looking forward to having his woman back after looking after and supporting her for nearly two years of worry, pain and frustration. she is 31, full of life, cares about everyone else more than herself, and is incredibly brave. its not fair. i never have managed to believe in god and things like this convince me that no god exists. if any of you do believe then say a prayer for her, thank you.
