sunday morning arrives again and ive been up for hours again - i think its the fault of the muppeteer my body clock seems to have aligned itself with hers. now i have two women on my mind several times a day, instead of the same one that has been dogging my thoughts for well over a year. where to start in describing yesterday though? what a generally fun sort of weekend its been. let's start with the football (sorry my northern friend.. i don't wish to intrude upon a another poor scouse performance. . )

Arsenal vs MU, the game of the season so far - well it almost lived up to its billing. We passed and moved, they hustled and bustled and just as we all thought it was heading for stalemate at half-time up pops shrek and squeezes a shot in off billy's hand. 0-1 united :( Gutted text from she-who-must-not. Then the second half and just 3 minutes in when the youth team steal the ball from the northern bullies race down the other end and there is the little spaniard to make it 1-1! :>> Then it looks like we might turn them over and the mancs struggle to cope with the passing and on come theo, bertie and then the crozillian to press for the win. and of course inevitably with 8 minutes to play the blue booted fancy dan from portugal gives them the lead - gutted am I ('Ive stopped watching' says my phone).. eduardo and ade miss and im resigned to defeat and then it looks like our last gasp attack has also failed.. but no! MM tugs my arm.. its gone it, the linesman's given it - 2-2 and its William 'we fight or die' Gallas and fergie has a face like thunder.. :)) honours even but it feels like a win. Then later on I find out that the mighty U's won away at Torquay.. what a football saturday!!

so on to the chilterns with claire and percy's party. as ever this feels like a duty to be observed. nice to see him, but i promised to come back soon so we can chat (about women I think - he's got several of the t-shirts). so i mooch about and make small talk with a few people and wait until its a reasonable time to leave. still i did spend soem time with my 3 year old neice who finally knows who i am and is relaxed enough to play with me. im her godfather (weird not being christian and in fact being fairly pagan.. i might by her a norse myths books when she's a little older) and nice to talk to claire again there and back. but otherwise a bit of a waste of time..

so back home and make-up applied i cut a suitably ill-looking figure as a gothic vamp all white faced and dark eyed. i quite liked the look to be honest but doubt it would go down too well at college. party was in a pub in wellingboro and was great - a real surprise. the whole place was decked out in hallow'een stuff (floating heads, apple barrell, dry ice everywhere, skulls, tombstones, spiders - the works :> ) m&s know the landlord (death..naturally) so he was very friendly and the band were competent. all in all a good night out.. but i probably drank too much beer and my insides hurt a little today. i'd say i'd take it easy today but m&s are coming for lunch and we'll drink some wine.. so..;)
